Collins Plywood Prep Router Bit

Manufactured by Whiteside, the Collins Ply Prep router bit solves the challenge of core expansion in plywood and other sheet goods when gluing on solid wood nosing. Used on a router table or freehand router, it cuts a slight depression on the edge of the plywood leaving the surface veneers proud. The adjoining molding will not be pushed away from the skins when there is a little space for inner plies to swell being wet with glue. You can actually clamp with masking tape and never have to putty a seam again, this makes it easy to get perfect closure every time!  Available in 1/4″ and 1/2″ shank Bit has a registration mark to align with the center ply Cut length: 1″ For material from 3/4″ to 1-1/2″ thick.
